About Switzer
Switzer is Indian Type Foundry's take on the Swiss grotesque, released free through Fontshare in 2022 with a full range of nine weights. It sits squarely in the Helvetica and Akzidenz-Grotesk lineage — neutral construction, sharp terminals, and an even, orderly weight progression — with the clean finish contemporary interfaces expect.
It's one of the closest free cosmetic matches to the paid grotesques it stands in for, from Helvetica Now and Neue Haas Grotesk to Söhne and Univers. When a project needs that quiet Swiss neutrality as a near drop-in and you'd rather not license the original, Switzer is usually the first stop.
