Non Sans

Non Foundry released Non Sans in 2019, designed by Jona Saucedo in Monterrey, Mexico, and revised in 2022 and again in 2025. It is a grotesque sans whose early sketches, by the foundry's own account, show the influence of 1960s Swiss type design in their functional shapes and modular letter structure. The result is dense, robust and even in rhythm, with five weights from Light to Bold and unusual Slant and Rotation companions in place of a single italic. It is a retail font aimed at identities, editorial work, interfaces and signage. These free typefaces work the same grotesque register without the license fee.
