The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Best free alternatives to
Neou
André Uenojo released Neou in 2012, a geometric sans serif built from circular, compass-drawn forms and offered in just two weights, a hairline Thin and a heavy Bold. It spread fast as a free-for-personal-use download on dafont, where it has passed two million downloads, with commercial licenses sold through the designer's Creative Market shop. The pairing of a delicate thin and a solid bold is what designers reach for: the thin for airy poster and editorial headlines, the bold for logos and packaging. These free typefaces work the same circular geometric register without the license fee.
