Acherus Feral

Horizon Type released Acherus Feral in 2021, designed by Ufuk Aracıoğlu, the Turkish type designer behind the foundry. It is a sharpened version of his 2016 Acherus Grotesque: the rounded corners of the parent are cut to points, the soft edges are flattened, and several capitals such as A, K, M, N, R, V and W were redrawn, with an alternate G and an optional t added. The family runs to 20 styles on a geometric base. The complete family is sold through MyFonts and Fontspring, which is why it turns up beside TT Norms Pro in comparisons. These free typefaces work the same crisp geometric register without the license fee.

FAQ

Common questions about Acherus Feral alternatives

Is Acherus Feral free?
No — Acherus Feral is a commercial typeface from Horizon Type. Commercial: the 20-style family is licensed through MyFonts and Fontspring, with a personal-use-only demo of two weights circulating on freebie sites. The closest free alternative is Outfit, available on Google Fonts.
What font is similar to Acherus Feral?
Outfit is the closest free match. A geometric sans built from the same circle-and-stem logic with crisp, unrounded terminals, so it lands close to Acherus Feral's sharpened look in headlines. Outfit has a single italic-free axis and a slightly wider, more display-leaning set, so for long text you give up the paired italics.
Can I use Outfit in commercial projects?
Yes — Outfit is published under a free license on Google Fonts and can be used in commercial work. Confirm the license text at the source before shipping.
