Saira Extra Condensed is the most compressed width in Omnibus-Type's Saira family, and the closest free skeleton available to Druk's extra-narrow proportions. It is genuinely narrow rather than merely condensed — vertical stems dominate, counters reduce to slots — and the full weight range means the compression holds from light through the heaviest cuts.

That makes it the standard free substitute for Druk in layouts built on tall, tightly packed headlines. The important difference is mass: Saira's heaviest weight is still far lighter than Druk's, so the same headline reads athletic and sporty where Druk reads monumental and immovable. It works well for magazine-style stacked headlines, poster type, and event graphics, and less well when the design depends on Druk's sheer black density filling the measure edge to edge.
