Galano Grotesque

Studio René Bieder released Galano Grotesque in 2014, designed by the German type designer René Bieder. It is a geometric sans in the line of Futura, Avant Garde and Avenir, but it is less rigid and reads as more contemporary than Avant Garde. The family has ten weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, and covers Western, Central and Eastern European languages. Galano Grotesque Alt and the display companion Galano Classic grew out of the same work. These free typefaces work the same clean geometric register without the license fee.
