About Sligoil
Sligoil is a humanist monospace by Ariel Martín Pérez, published free through Velvetyne. Where most fixed-width faces default to a cold, geometric look, Sligoil has warm, slightly irregular letterforms and a faintly retro-industrial character, all while keeping a strict monospaced rhythm.
That personality makes it useful well beyond code. The fixed advance width keeps columns, figures, and tables aligned, and the humanist detailing keeps it readable in captions, credits, and interfaces that want the mono look without feeling clinical. Released under the Open Font License and self-hosted here.
