Rubik
A free alternative to TT Norms Pro.
About Rubik
Rubik is a geometric sans with subtly rounded corners, designed by Philipp Hubert and Sebastian Fischer and released through Google Fonts in 2015. Circular bowls and modern, evenly spaced proportions give it a clean contemporary feel, while the softened corner treatment takes the hard edge off the geometry and warms the texture of a paragraph.
Its lowercase tracks TT Norms Pro's shapes closely, which is why it turns up so often as the free substitute for that family — same geometric logic, same current, product-design tone. The rounding is the caveat: in uppercase-heavy settings, where TT Norms Pro's crisp terminals are doing much of the work, Rubik reads noticeably softer and the match weakens. It's strongest in mixed-case interface copy, headings, and brand type where the warmth is welcome.
