Jura

Jura is a light, wide sans by Daniel Johnson, drawn with flattened curves and squared counters that give it a clear technical-futurist accent. The width registers first — letters sit broad and open, strokes stay thin and even, and the squared shapes read as engineered without tipping into the heavy industrial look the genre usually invites. Available free through Google Fonts.

All of that makes it a quieter alternative to Eurostile. The square-round geometry is unmistakably the same lineage, but Jura speaks it in a thinner, more restrained voice, closer to elegant futurism than to the high-impact cuts that put Eurostile on movie titles. It is the better choice for interfaces, tech editorial, and data-adjacent design; where actual title-sequence weight is required, Eurostile still does something Jura does not.
