About Italianno
Italianno is a narrow calligraphic script by Robert Leuschke in the italic-hand tradition, with flourished capitals and a condensed, upright-italic rhythm. The strokes stay fine and the letters lean close together, so it sets tightly on the line — a pen hand rather than a brush one, drawn with the flourishes concentrated in the capitals and distributed through Google Fonts.
Among free scripts it is the closest match to Monotype Corsiva, sharing not just the chancery flavor but the compressed rhythm that gives Corsiva its texture across a line of text. It sits very close to ITC Zapf Chancery's temperament as well, where the flourished capitals carry the resemblance. Set it large — on invitations, menus, certificates, and titling. The fine strokes and tight fit rule out extended text and small sizes.
