About Fredoka

Fredoka is a rounded geometric sans by Milena Brandão and Hafontia, released in 2021 as a variable family whose weight axis controls exactly how plump the letterforms get. The construction is modern and highly usable — soft, toy-like geometry at the heavy end, but disciplined enough at mid weights to carry interface work rather than just posters.

That range covers several paid faces at once. At its heaviest it supplies Cooper Black's soft, inflated friendliness in a far more practical package, even though the underlying structure is nothing like Cooper's. SemiBold and Bold share Feather's chunky rounded geometry, while Medium and SemiBold land almost exactly on Speedee's upbeat, fast-food-friendly tone. It's the pick when a brand wants roundness and warmth but still has real UI to typeset.

Display + body that work together

Headlines, written under pressure
The display sets the register; the body follows through. When both halves of a pair pull in the same direction, the design disappears and the words come forward.

Quiet type that does the work
Two thousand years of letterforms boil down to a handful of decisions — width, weight, proportion. Pick a pair you trust, and let the rest take care of itself.
