About Archivo Narrow

Archivo Narrow is Omnibus-Type's condensed grotesque, published in 2011 and drawn for high-performance headlines rather than highways. Blunt terminals, a neutral skeleton, and a space-efficient frame make it economical without looking pinched. It reads as plain equipment rather than styling — the sort of face that disappears into a table label and still carries a full-bleed headline.

It lands where Interstate's condensed weights would, delivering a similar utilitarian punch in a narrower fit. It also serves as a ready-made companion in the neutral-grotesque idiom Sharp Grotesk occupies, covering the tighter, space-efficient widths that make up much of that family's range. Use it for headlines and tabular layouts — anywhere the column is narrow and the type still has to be heard. The neutrality is the asset: it builds a hierarchy without adding a voice of its own.
