About Water Brush
Water Brush is a contemporary script by Robert Leuschke, published by his TypeSETit foundry and added to Google Fonts in 2022. It ships as a single Regular weight. Its letterforms are loose and expressive, and its defining feature is a dry-brush texture: the strokes break up and streak as if a camel-hair brush loaded with paint were dragged across textured watercolor paper. The character set covers Western and Central European Latin as well as Vietnamese.
The texture needs space to show, so the font works best at display sizes: headlines, posters, packaging, social graphics, book covers and logotypes that should look hand-painted rather than typeset. It can be casual or refined depending on the setting. Water Brush is a free stand-in for paid textured brush scripts such as Beyond the Mountains, which is sold with a commercial license and offered free for personal use only.
