About Satoshi

Satoshi is Deni Anggara's 2020 sans, distributed free through Fontshare, blending grotesque structure with geometric precision across ten weights with italics. It is polished rather than plain: slightly closed counters, rounded touches, and alternate 'G' and 't' forms that give it a quirky-but-clean personality at brand sizes.

Those alternates echo Apercu directly, and Satoshi works as a UI and brand substitute for it — a touch wider, with more closed counters. It carries Circular's simple, confident neutrality with a little more character, and its tension between warmth and cleanliness makes it one of the closest tonal matches for Gilroy in branding, editorial, and poster work. The minimal modernist register also covers Cera Pro, and the full weight and italic range delivers Sofia Pro's polish free for commercial use.

Display + body that work together

Quiet type that does the work
Body type does the heavy lifting. Get it right and the reader never thinks about it; get it wrong and they feel it before they can name what is off.

A pairing is a relationship: one voice speaks first, the other answers, and the contrast between them sets the tone for the whole page.
