About Satisfy

Satisfy is a brush script from Sideshow, a Font Diner collection, released in 2011 and added to Google Fonts in October that year. It comes in one regular weight. The letters are slanted and joined, with stroke contrast that comes from the brush rather than a pointed pen. The rounded loops and steady baseline give it a classic script look, while the quick strokes keep it relaxed and modern instead of formal.

It works best at display sizes: logotypes, headlines, café and boutique branding, labels, invitations and social graphics. Pair it with a plain sans so it doesn't have to carry body text. Because it is a joined brush script with a friendly, slightly retro tone, it is a natural free substitute for paid brush scripts such as Actonia when you need a similar look without a commercial license.

Pairings

Display + body that work together

A grammar of empty space
Two thousand years of letterforms boil down to a handful of decisions — width, weight, proportion. Pick a pair you trust, and let the rest take care of itself.

Letters that hold their nerve
Crisp, even strokes give the display its punch. Quiet serifs underneath stay readable across thousands of words — used together by editors at the kind of paper that still prints corrections.
