About Onest
Onest is Dmitri Voloshin's contemporary sans, released in 2021 as an explicit hybrid of geometric and humanist grotesques and tuned for long reading on screen. Even, low-contrast strokes, near-circular bowls, and softly rounded corners give it a calm, objective texture; the geometry stays restrained enough to sit quiet at interface sizes and comfortable across full paragraphs.
That neutrality is the draw. Onest reproduces the even color and quiet modern-brand feel of Aeonik, sits close to Larsseit's objective character, and is built on the same geometric-humanist recipe as Spotify Mix and OpenAI Sans. It softens Atlas Grotesk rather than matching it, though the friendly, trustworthy tone survives the translation. It is also less familiar than Inter, which is often the reason to reach for it — a considered UI sans that still reads as a deliberate choice.
