About Kameron
Kameron is a condensed slab serif drawn by Vernon Adams in 2011, working the same Rockwell-adjacent tradition as Rokkitt. The slabs are square and the proportions are narrow — noticeably narrower than Rockwell's standard cuts — and that compression changes what the face is for: the same mechanical, early-industrial voice, fitted to columns that will not accommodate a normal-width slab.
That is the case for it as a free Rockwell substitute. It keeps the Rockwell tone while giving back horizontal space, and it holds its character at display sizes rather than reading as a regular that has been squeezed. Reach for it when a headline has to fit a tight measure — newspaper-style decks, card titles, dense editorial layouts — and the slab-serif register is what the page is meant to carry.
