Junction
A humanist text sans that blends humanist warmth with grotesque structure — the League’s first workhorse.
About Junction
Junction is a humanist sans by Caroline Hadilaksono, released in 2010 as The League of Moveable Type's first text face. It splits the difference between humanist and grotesque — open, legible letterforms with a little warmth in the terminals and a steady, even rhythm across a line.
That makes it the League's workhorse rather than a showpiece: it holds up in running text, interfaces, and captions where the foundry's condensed display faces would be unreadable. The family includes light, regular, and bold weights for a basic working hierarchy. It is released under the Open Font License, and we self-host it here.
